Barry is from Grenada and grew up in England.

Barry previously worked at BBC Television Center in the Photography Department, then became part of the crew on BBC Radio London 94.9 FM (Reggae Time) with Steve Barnard. He volunteered on Radio Invicta 92.4 FM (Soul Over London) as a Tech and volunteered on CIUT Radio 89.5 FM in Toronto as a Tech working on a variety of shows including Caribana and Black History Month Specials. Barry previously worked for CKLN, a Ryerson University Campus/Community radio station broadcasting to the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding communities. CKLN became one of the most respected radio stations in Canada.

He has devoted his career to playing a variety of music from around the Caribbean in order to provide a voice for the community, music, arts and cultures not represented in mainstream media. Barry plays a lively mix of music including Soca, Calypso, Zouk, Reggae and other genres from the Caribbean and diaspora.

Barry’s motto is: Live life to the max, you never know what’s around the corner. Smile at someone and hopefully they will smile back.
